Смысл любви

Я прочел больше тысячи книг,
Тысячу раз я натыкался на упоминания о любви,
Но, где бы я ни искал,
Мне до сих пор неясно,
Это недостаточно —
Я так и не приблизился
К пониманию смысла любви…

Записывал все свои наблюдения,
Вечерами просматривал ТВ,
Но так и не могу точно сказать…
Знаю лишь, что это чувство, что даруется свыше,
Но в чем же смысл,
Смысл любви?..

Судя по записям, что сделал давно,
Выходит, что любовь есть нечто,
оставляющее шрамы.
Что ж, я мог ошибаться.

Я прежде никогда не любил…

Затем я спросил своих друзей,

Они посмотрели на меня, как на сумасшедшего.
